Capuano designated for assignment by Yankees after bad start
Jul 29, 2015 - 10:12 PM ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Left-hander Chris Capuano has been designated for assignment by the New York Yankees after retiring only two of 10 batters he faced in a spot start.Right-hander Caleb Cotham, the Yankees' fifth-round pick out of Vanderbilt in the 2009 draft, was brought up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in search of his major league debut.
New York made the moves before Wednesday's game at Texas.
