Astros sign lefty Wandy Rodriguez to minor league contract
Jan 26, 2016 - 11:29 PM HOUSTON (AP) The Houston Astros have signed left-hander Wandy Rodriguez to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.The Astros said Tuesday that lefty Edwar Cabrera and infielder Danny Worth also got minor league deals and were invited to camp.
The 37-year-old Rodriguez was 6-4 with a 4.90 ERA for Texas last season. He pitched in parts of eight big league seasons with Houston and went 80-84.
The 30-year-old Worth spent last season in Triple-A with Arizona, hitting .314.
The 28-year-old Cabrera pitched in Triple-A and Double-A for Texas.
