Athletics, RHP Gaudin agree to terms

Jan 25, 2008 - 10:07 PM OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Oakland Athletics agreed to terms with righthander Chad Gaudin on a one-year contract Friday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Gaudin, who had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip and also underwent an operation on his right foot on December 18, was 11-13 with a 4.42 ERA in 34 starts with Oakland last season.

Gaudin, 25, tied for the American League lead in games started after making just 10 starts in his first four seasons combined with the A's, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays.
