Feliciano agree to terms with Mets
Feb 1, 2008 - 10:49 PM FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) -- The New York Mets and lefthander Pedro Feliciano avoided arbitration Friday by agreeing to a one-year contract worth $1,025,000.The 31-year-old Feliciano, a key member of the bullpen, made $602,000 last season. He asked for $1.2 million in arbitration while the Mets offered $880,000.
Feliciano was 2-2 with two saves and a 3.09 ERA in 78 appearances last season. He is a 10-5 with a 3.09 ERA in 193 career appearances.
With the signing of Feliciano, the Mets have three players remaining in arbitration: lefthander Oliver Perez, righthander Jorge Sosa and outfielder Ryan Church.
