Yankees give start to Bruney
Apr 10, 2008 - 12:12 AM KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- With rain in the forecast, the New York Yankees decided before Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals to start reliever Brian Bruney in place of scheduled starter Ian Kennedy.Bruney has yet to allow a run in three appearances this season - all out of the bullpen.
This will mark the 26-year-old righthander's first major league start after 158 appearances in relief.
