Brewers OF Kapler day-to-day

Apr 16, 2008 - 5:43 AM ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Gabe Kapler was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to a bruised right shoulder.

Kapler, who has four home runs so far in his comeback season after spending 2007 managing in the minor leagues, collided with the center field wall at Busch Stadium during batting practice.

"I'm just not going to make any predictions and see how it feels (Wednesday)," Kapler said after the Brewers' 6-1 loss at St. Louis. "I'm getting ice on it and see how it feels tomorrow."

The veteran Kapler is batting .423 this season as Milwaukee's regular center fielder while Mike Cameron serves his 25-game suspension for amphetamine use and Tony Gwynn Jr. waits on the disabled list with a strained hamstring.
