Angels P Lackey to make rehab start
Apr 22, 2008 - 5:35 PM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ace John Lackey will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Rancho Cucamonga, the team announced Tuesday.Lackey, who has been on the disabled list since the start of the season with a strained right triceps, is tentatively scheduled to pitch on Thursday.
The righthander was scheduled to miss three to four weeks after an MRI on March 15.
Lackey was an All-Star for the first time in his career last season, when he went 19-9 with a 3.01 ERA - the lowest mark in the American League.
