Cardinals LHP Johnson to have surgery

LOUIS (Ticker) -- St. Louis Cardinals lefthander Tyler Johnson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his throwing shoulder, the team announced on Tuesday.Johnson, 26, has yet to make an appearance this season after being placed on the 15-day disabled list on March 21 with a strained left rotator cuff.
The Missouri native made 55 relief appearances last season, going 1-1 with a 4.03 ERA. Over his three-year major league career - all with the Cardinals - Johnson is 3-5 with a 4.32 ERA.
