Cardinals LHP Johnson has surgery
May 15, 2008 - 3:01 AM ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- St. Louis Cardinals lefthander Tyler Johnson had arthroscopic surgery on his pitching shoulder and will be sidelined at least six months, the team announced on Wednesday.The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal El Attrache in Los Angeles.
Johnson, 26, has not pitched this season. The third-year pro went 1-1 with a 4.03 ERA in 55 relief appearances last season.
