Johnson moves into second on all-time strikout list

Jun 4, 2008 - 12:50 AM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - Arizona Diamondbacks lefthander Randy Johnson moved into sole possession of second place on the all-time strikeout list in Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Johnson moved past Roger Clemens when he fanned the second batter he faced, Mike Cameron, in the first inning for his 4,673rd career strikeout. The 6-10 southpaw, who has won his last four decisions, also is aiming for his 289th career victory.

Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan is the career leader with 5,714 strikeouts.
