Orioles designate INF Bynum
Jun 22, 2008 - 6:09 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Orioles designated infielder Freddie Bynum for assignment Sunday.Bynum appeared in 34 games this season, batting just .192 (19-of-99) with five RBI.
To take Bynum's roster spot, the Orioles purchased the contract of righthander Ryan Bukvich from Class AAA Norfolk.
