0 shoutsNEW YORK (Ticker) -- The marriage between New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cyntha, could be on the rocks.
The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Cynthia Rodriguez has left her husband following three months of problems in the five-year marriage and is staying at the Paris home of rocker Lenny Kravitz.
The news of the split came one day after several reports circulated that Rodriguez has been seeing pop icon Madonna.
Often the source of controversy, Rodriguez, 32, refused to discuss the report when approached by reporters prior to Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers.
In May 2007, he was linked to a stripper, as photos of Rodriguez entering a Toronto strip club with Scores dancer Joslyn Noel Morse were published.
The Rodriguezes were married in November 2002 and have two daughters, 3-year-old Natasha Alexander and Ella Alexander, who was born April 21.
Rumors have surfaced on the internet that Cynthia Rodriguez is having an affair with the 44-year-old Kravitz, who is touring in Europe.
Kravitz told the Daily News that he is letting Cynthia Rodriguez stay at his residence just as a friend.
"There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself," Kravitz told the newspaper. "This is unequivocally 100 percent not true."
Madonna, who reportedly has split with her husband, Guy Ritchie, also has denied having an affair with Rodriguez.
"They're just friends," a Madonna spokeswoman told the Daily News.
