Mets OF Church leaves game with dizzyness
Jul 6, 2008 - 4:33 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- New York Mets right fielder Ryan Church left Saturday's 9-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the eighth inning with dizziness.Church, who returned from a second concussion last Sunday, went 1-for-3 before being replaced by Endy Chavez. Chavez pinch-hit in the previous half-inning.
The 29-year-old Church suffered a mild concussion on May 20, and pinch-hit in seven games before being placed on the disabled list on June 10.
"I told (the doctors) I was feeling dizzy," Church said. "My eyes were hurting and that's when the dizziness came on."
No one has shouted yet.
