Braves 3B Jones out of lineup
Jul 25, 2008 - 9:23 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Chipper Jones will not be in the starting lineup for the Atlanta Braves when they take on the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.Jones, who leads the major leagues with a .369 batting average, strained his left hamstring running out a ground ball in Wednesday's 9-4 victory over the Florida Marlins. The Braves are unsure whether the third baseman will need a trip to the disabled list.
In 89 games this season, Jones has 18 home runs and 55 RBI.
