Rockies place OF Podsednik on DL
Jul 29, 2008 - 8:11 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Colorado Rockies placed outfielder Scott Podsednik on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a non-displaced fracture of his left pinky finger.Podsednik, 32, was batting .263 with one home run and 15 RBI in 75 games this season. He also has 10 stolen bases.
To take his place on the roster, the club purchased the contract of outfielder Cory Sullivan from Class AAA Colorado Springs.
Sullivan was batting .306 with six homers and 40 RBI. The 28-year-old played in nine games for the Rockies earlier this season, hitting .167 (2-for-12).
