Angels RHP Lackey has no-hitter through seven innings

Jul 30, 2008 - 1:10 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starter John Lackey has a no-hitter through seven innings against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

Lackey yielded one walk with two strikeouts as the Angels grabbed a 6-0 advantage. The righthander has thrown 83 pitches, facing just two over the minimum. He also hit J.D. Drew with a pitch in the second.

The 29-year-old Lackey entered the contest with an 8-2 record with a 3.02 ERA.
