Brewers 2B Durham leaves game
Jul 30, 2008 - 2:12 AM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Ray Durham suffered a contusion of his right shin in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs.Durham suffered the injury while hitting in the fifth. After trying to remain in the game, Durham eventually had to leave and was replaced by Craig Counsell in the seventh.
The 36-year-old Durham is batting .290 with three homers and 32 RBI in 92 games this season with the San Francisco Giants and the Brewers.
Durham was traded from the Giants on July 20 for righthander Steve Hammond and outfielder Darren Ford.
