Brewers RHP Gagne ejected
Jul 31, 2008 - 8:37 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Brewers righthander Eric Gagne was ejected in the ninth inning of Thursday's game against the Chicago Cubs.With the Cubs, leading, 9-1, and looking to complete a four-game sweep, Gagne started the ninth in a mop-up role. He was tossed by plate umpire Doug Eddings after he threw a 3-0 fastball behind Jim Edmonds, who hit two runs in the game, including a grand slam in the fourth inning.
Gagne was replaced by Seth McClung.
