Marlins SS Ramirez leaves game

Aug 21, 2008 - 4:23 AM SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez left Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants in the bottom of the fourth inning with a right thumb contusion.

Ramirez, who leads the team with a .296 average and 27 home runs, had a single in two at-bats. He was replaced by Alfredo Amezaga and is listed as day-to-day.
