ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Brian Barton left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves in the bottom of the sixth inning with a right oblique strain.
Barton legged out an infield single to third base and was replaced by Skip Schumaker.
The 26-year-old was working on one of the most decorated games in his young career, collecting a career-high three hits.
Barton is hitting .269 with two homers and 13 RBI in 70 games this season.
