Marlins activate RHP Waechter from DL

Aug 26, 2008 - 7:42 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Florida Marlins on Tuesday activated righthander Doug Waechter from the 15-day disabled list.

The 27-year-old was placed on the DL on August 11 with rotator cuff inflammation.

Waechter is 3-2 with a 3.51 ERA in 39 games this season.

In a corresponding move, the Marlins placed lefthander Renyel Pinto on the 15-day DL.

Pinto is 2-5 with a 4.50 ERA in 65 contests this season.
