Orioles recall LHP Burres
Aug 27, 2008 - 12:02 AM BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Orioles recalled lefthander Brian Burres from Class AAA Norfolk of the International League in time to start Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.The Orioles announced they would be making the move following Monday's 4-3 loss. Burres, 27, went 7-7 with a 5.64 ERA in 22 starts for Baltimore before being optioned to Norfolk on August 1.
To make room for Burres, the Orioles optioned righthander Kam Mickolio to Norfolk on Monday. Mickolio allowed one run and four hits in two games.
