Angels DH Anderson has MRI on ailing knee

Aug 27, 2008 - 3:57 AM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim designated hitter Garret Anderson underwent an MRI on Tuesday that revealed tendinitis in his left knee.

Anderson, 36, has made just one appearance as a pinch hitter since leaving Sunday's game against Minnesota in the second inning due to soreness in the knee. He is listed as day-to-day.

The 15-year veteran is hitting .284 with 13 home runs and 71 RBI in 118 games this season.
