Figgins misses game; Kendrick, Aybar injured in loss
Aug 28, 2008 - 6:36 AM ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim third baseman Chone Figgins missed Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Oakland Athletics due to irritation in his left big toe.Figgins is listed as day-to-day.
To add insult to injury, the Angels also lost second baseman Howie Kendrick and shortstop Erick Aybar - each to tight left hamstrings - during the fourth and seventh innings, respectively, on Wednesday.
Both players' availability for Anaheim's four-game home series opener against Texas on Thursday is not known.
