Four minor leaguers suspended
Aug 28, 2008 - 9:11 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Major League Baseball suspended four minor leaguers Thursday for violating the league's drug prevention and treatment program.Pitcher Michael De La Cruz of the Texas Rangers and pitchers Arturo Florentino, Carlos Galvez and Jose Tineo of the Chicago Cubs have all received 50-game suspensions after testing positive for a metabolite of Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance.
All four players were playing in the Dominican Summer League.
