Braves 3B Jones out of lineup

Sep 3, 2008 - 7:44 PM MIAMI (Ticker) -- Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones was held out of the lineup for the second straight day Wednesday due to an injured right knee.

Jones was scratched from Tuesday's 16-14 victory after injuring his right knee during batting practice.

Atlanta is not sure how much time the 36-year-old will miss, but Jones does not believe the injury is serious.

"It feels OK," Jones said. "It's just a little sprain."

Jones, who has missed 30 games due to various injuries, is second in the majors with a .358 batting average and has 20 homers and 67 RBI in 110 games.
