Brewers LHP Sabathia earns monthly honors
Sep 3, 2008 - 7:59 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Milwaukee Brewers lefthander CC Sabathia was named the National League Pitcher of the Month for August on Wednesday.Sabathia posted a 5-0 record with a 1.12 ERA during the month as the lefthander continued to dominate the NL since the Brewers acquired him from the Cleveland Indians in early July.
The 28-year-old also won the NL monthly award for July and is 9-0 with a 1.43 ERA with six complete games for Milwaukee this season.
