Reds activate Hairston from DL
Sep 8, 2008 - 9:48 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Cincinnati Reds activated utility player Jerry Hairston Jr. from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.Hairston has been sidelined since August 20 with a strained right hamstring. He has been battling the injury for much of the second half of the season.
An 11-year veteran, Hairston has played primarily at shortstop and center field this season. He is hitting .338 with two homers, 22 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 63 games.
