Marlins activate LHP Pinto from DL

Sep 8, 2008 - 10:26 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Florida Marlins activated lefthander Renyel Pinto from the 15-day disabled list prior to Monday's series opener at the Philadelphia Phillies.

Pinto, 26, had been sidelined since August 24 with a strained left hamstring.

In his third season with the Marlins, the southpaw is 2-5 with a 4.50 ERA in 64 innings over 65 relief appearances.
