Braves 3B Jones leaves game
Sep 20, 2008 - 1:56 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones left Friday's game against the New York Mets in the fifth inning with a sore right shoulder.Jones, who is closing in on his first batting title, is day-to-day. The 37-year-old has been slowed by various injuries all season, but leads the National League with a .362 average - nine points ahead of St. Louis slugger Albert Pujols (.353).
Jones, who finished second in the NL with a .337 average last season, went 0-for-3 before departing in favor of Martin Prado.
