Orioles-Athletics game will not be played
Sep 22, 2008 - 6:30 PM BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Orioles on Monday announced that their September 6 game against the Oakland Athletics, postponed due to rain, will not be played following a determination by Major League Baseball. The contest, slated as the opener of a day-night doubleheader, was postponed due to rain and was originally scheduled to be made up on September 7.
But the remnants of Tropical Storm Hannah forced the postponement of the makeup date as well.
