Braves minor leaguer Small suspended

Sep 23, 2008 - 10:31 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Atlanta Braves minor league pitcher Matthew Small was suspended 50 games Tuesday after testing positive for an amphetamine, which is a performance-enhancing substance.

Most recently, Small was a member of the Danville Braves, Atlanta's rookie-level team in the Appalachian League. His suspension will be effective at the start of next season.
