Orioles activate Guthrie from disabled list
Sep 27, 2008 - 9:55 PM BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Orioles activated Jeremy Guthrie from the 15-day disabled list Saturday in order for the righthander to start the club's season finale on Sunday.Guthrie was placed on the DL on September 15 with a right shoulder impingement. He lasted just three innings in his last outing, giving up seven runs, seven hits and six walks in a 14-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on August 29.
The 29-year-old hurler will take the hill Sunday as the Orioles host the Toronto Blue Jays. He is 10-11 this season with a 3.57 ERA.
