Padres acquire pair to complete Maddux trade
Sep 30, 2008 - 6:30 PM SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- The San Diego Padres on Tuesday acquired lefthander Michael Watt and righthander Eduardo Perez from the Los Angles Dodgers, completing the August 19 trade of Greg Maddux between the teams.Watt, 19, went 9-4 with a 4.35 ERA in 15 starts for rookie level Ogden this season. He struck out 79 batters in 80 2/3 innings.
Perez, 20, posted a 4-3 record with a 3.38 ERA in 12 games - 10 starts - between Ogden and the Gulf Coast League Dodgers.
Maddux went 2-4 with a 5.09 ERA in seven starts for the National League West Division champion Dodgers.
