Brewers claim 3B McGehee off waivers
Oct 29, 2008 - 6:55 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday claimed third baseman Casey McGehee off waivers from the Chicago Cubs.McGehee, 26, spent a majority of last season with Class AAA Iowa of the Pacific Coast League, where he batted .296 with 12 homers and 92 RBI in 133 games. He played in nine games with the Cubs, batting .167 with five RBI.
To make room for McGehee, the Brewers designated infielder Joe Dillon for assignment.
