Rangers offer Bradley arbitration
Dec 2, 2008 - 3:17 AM ARLINGTON, Texas (Ticker) -- The Texas Rangers on Monday offered salary arbitration to free agent outfielder Milton Bradley.Bradley is a Type B free agent, meaning the Rangers would receive a supplemental draft pick as compensation should he decide to sign elsewhere.
Bradley made the All-Star team and led the American League with a .436 on-base percentage while batting .321 and clubbing 22 homers in 2008. At 30 years old and with a long injury history, Bradley did most of his damage as the designated hitter for Texas last season.
The Rangers declined to offer arbitration to righthanders Jason Jennings and Jamey Wright and infielder Ramon Vazquez.
