Braves sign C Ross to two-year deal
Dec 5, 2008 - 9:27 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) - The Atlanta Braves agreed to terms with free-agent catcher David Ross on a two-year contract on Friday.Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
Ross, 31, finished last season with the Boston Red Sox, appearing in eight games in September following his release by the Cincinnati Reds.
With the Reds, Ross batted .231 with three home runs and 13 RBI in 52 games.
In 431 games with five different teams since 2002, Ross is a career .202 hitter with 60 homers and 154 RBI.
