Diamondbacks sign IF Ojeda

Dec 11, 2008 - 3:53 AM LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks signed infielder Augie Ojeda to a one-year deal on Wednesday.

Ojeda served as a utility infielder for the Diamondbacks last season, playing in 105 games while logging time at second base, third base and shortstop. He hit .242 while scoring 27 runs.

The 33-year-old Ojeda has played in parts of seven seasons with Arizona, the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago Cubs, batting .235 with 91 runs and 24 doubles.
