Athletics agree to terms with C Bowen
Dec 12, 2008 - 6:08 PM OAKLAND, California (Ticker) - The Oakland Athletics on Friday agreed to terms on a one-year contract with catcher Rob Bowen.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bowen, who was eligible for arbitration, appeared in 37 games last season as the backup catcher to Kurt Suzuki.
The 27-year old switch-hitter batted .176 with a home run and nine RBI and started 25 games.
