LHP James not tendered by Braves
Dec 12, 2008 - 10:34 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Braves on Friday announced they will not tender a contract to lefthanded pitcher Chuck James for the 2009 season.The 28-year-old James is 24-19 with a 4.48 ERA in four seasons. He went 2-5 with a 9.10 ERA in seven starts for the Braves last season.
James underwent successful rotator cuff surgery in September and is expected to miss most of the 2009 season.
