Brewers sign INF Counsell
Jan 26, 2009 - 9:09 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Brewers on Monday signed veteran infielder Craig Counsell to a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal was finalized when Counsell passed a physical.
Counsell, 38, hit .226 with one home run and 14 RBI in 110 games last season - his second with the Brewers.
The 13-year veteran is a career .255 hitter with 35 home runs and 321 RBI in 1,285 games with five different teams.
