Reds agree with P Weathers on one-year deal
Jan 28, 2009 - 9:33 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- The Cincinnati Reds avoided salary arbitration with David Weathers on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with the reliever on a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Weathers, 39, went 4-6 with a 3.25 ERA in 72 appearances last season, his fourth with the Reds.
In 18 seasons, Weathers has made 896 career appearances to rank third among active pitchers and 22nd all-time.
