Bucks' Redd, Villanueva to miss Monday's game vs. Nuggets

Jan 7, 2007 - 6:50 PM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Michael Redd will miss his scheduled showdown with fellow gunslinger Allen Iverson.

The Milwaukee Bucks announced Sunday that Redd and forward Charlie Villanueva will not travel with the team for Monday's game against Iverson and the Denver Nuggets.

The NBA's fifth-leading scorer at 27.7 points per game, Redd is sidelined with a strained patellar tendon in his left knee. He is listed as day-to-day.

Villanueva has missed each of Milwaukee's last two games with tendinitis in his right shoulder and also is listed as day-to-day. The 6-11 forward averages 12.7 points, the fourth-best mark on the team.

The Bucks, who have lost three of their last four, will be hard-pressed to make up for the two players' absence against the Nuggets on Monday.

Iverson, who has struggled since being traded from Philadelphia to Denver three weeks ago, is third in the league in scoring at 29.5 points per game.
