Spurs make Jones first cut of training camp
Oct 13, 2009 - 10:27 PM SAN ANTONIO(AP) -- The San Antonio Spurs have waived forward Dwayne Jones in their first cut of training camp.The 6-foot-11 journeyman, released on Tuesday, averaged 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in three preseason games with the Spurs. Jones was trying to make his fourth NBA team after coming into the league in 2005 with Boston.
The Spurs roster stands at 17 players.
