Parker in lineup for Spurs
Oct 29, 2009 - 11:58 PM CHICAGO(AP) -- San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker was in the lineup against the Chicago Bulls after taking a hard fall the previous night. The Spurs got a scare Wednesday when Parker crashed to the floor on a layup in the third quarter of their 113-96 season-opening victory over New Orleans, but coach Gregg Poppovich says Thursday he is fine.
Parker had bumped off Hilton Armstrong in mid-air while putting up the layup, and remained sideways on the ground before turning over on his back and catching his breath. He went to the bench with 2:21 left in the third and was done for the night, leaving the game with 17 points.
