Boston Celtics sign guard Von Wafer

Aug 3, 2010 - 7:08 PM BOSTON(AP) -- Guard Von Wafer has signed with the Boston Celtics.

The 6-foot-5 Wafer has averaged 6.2 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game in a four-year career with the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Trail Blazers and Rockets.

He spent 10 days with the Dallas Mavericks last year, but did not get into a game.

He averaged a career-high 9.7 points in 2008-09 with the Rockets, hitting 39 percent of his 3-pointers.
