Knicks G Davis leaves game on stretcher
May 7, 2012 - 3:54 AM New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Knicks guard Baron Davis left Sunday's Game 4 Eastern Conference quarterfinal matchup with the Miami Heat with a dislocated right patella.Davis left the game with 5:15 remaining in the third quarter when he suffered the injury while attempting to drive to the basket.
Davis remained on the floor in agony and a stretcher was brought on to escort him to the locker room.
The 33-year-old guard had assumed a starting role for the Knicks in the playoffs after point guard Jeremy Lin went down with a left knee injury in late March.
The Knicks won the game, 89-87, to avoid the sweep and Game 5 is slated for Wednesday in Miami.
