Report: Collins to resign at end of year
Apr 15, 2013 - 4:43 AM Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Doug Collins will resign as the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers at the completion of this season, according to a report by Yahoo! Sports.The 62-year-old Collins has one year left on a four-year deal.
The Sixers are 33-47 this year after they reached the Eastern Conference semifinals a season ago. Philly had hopes of being one of the conference's elite, but the season was derailed due to Andrew Bynum's recurring knee issues.
