Warriors re-sign G Azubuike
Jul 17, 2007 - 10:35 PM OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors re-signed guard Kelenna Azubuike, who was an unrestricted free agent, the team announced on Tuesday.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Azubuike, 23, averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 41 games in his rookie campaign, which he started with the Fort Worth Flyers of the D-League.
A 6-5 guard, Azubuike will have to compete for time in the Warriors' loaded backcourt, which includes Baron Davis, rookie Marco Belinelli, Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson and little-used Sarunas Jasikevicius.
