Pistons add Augustin, Butler
Jul 15, 2014 - 9:33 PM Auburn Hills, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Pistons signed guard D.J. Augustin and forward Caron Butler to contracts on Tuesday.The 26-year-old Augustin averaged 14.9 points, 5.0 assists and shot 41 percent from the 3-point line over 61 games with Chicago last season. He was scooped up by the Bulls after being waived by Toronto on Dec. 9.
Augustin has averaged 10.1 points and 4.0 assists over his six-year career with Charlotte, Indiana, Toronto and Chicago.
The two-time All-Star Butler, who has career averages of 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game over his 12-year career, split time last season with Milwaukee and Oklahoma City, posting 10.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 56 games.
